ORDER

This is a petition for suspension of sentence. The petitioner stands convicted under section 161, P.P.C. and section 5 (2) of Prevention of Corruption Act,. 1947, and sentenced to one year's R.I., plus fine of Rs. 10,0(10 or in default to undergo 3 months' R.I. .

2. The sentence is short and there is no likelihood of the appeal being( disposed of at an early date, therefore, I feel inclined to allow this petition. The execution of sentence of the petitioner is suspended during the pendency of his appeal, subject to his furnishing bail‑bond in the sum of Rs. 20,000 with one surety in the like amount to the satisfaction of Deputy Registrar (Judicial) of this Court, as requested.
