ORDER

The detenus have been produced. The bailiff has submitted the report. According to report the bailiff had found Muhammad Akram Bhatti, sitting in courtyard of the Police Station, while Mst. Rubina, Mst. Nadia and Mst. Safia were found sitting in a room on upper storey of building of the Police Station alongwith other ladies.

2. The Inspector/ S.H.O. respondent who was also in the Police Station, informed the bailiff that the detenus were not required by him in any case. However, he informed the bailiff that he had called Muhammad Akram Bhatti to the Police Station to enquire from him about whereabouts of his son who is absconding in a case registered against him under section 302/34, P.P.C. at the Police Station on 23‑4‑1988.

3. The Inspector/S.H.O. who is present in person; has not been able to explain as to how the three young girls were found sitting on the upper storey of the building of Police Station. All he could utter, is that since it was a new building and there was nobody on guard, they might have gone up, of their own.

4. The girls had informed the bailiff also that they were in the Police Station since 23‑4‑1988, when they were brought there.

5. Since none of the detenus is required in any case, they are set free.

6. The Senior Superintendent of Police, Faisalabad shall have a case registered about illegal detention of the three girls either on the written application submitted by any one of them, or on the written application submitted by the petitioner, through the Circle Officer. The S.S.P. shall depute the Circle Officer to produce a copy of the F.I.R. in this Court on 2‑5‑1988.

7. The Inspector/S.H.O. has been asked to obtain a copy of this order from the office today for onward transmission to the Senior Superintendent of Police. A copy of the order shall also be given dasti to the petitioner, on payment of usual charges.

S.G.D./M‑723/L order accordingly.
