AJMAL MIAN, ACTG. C.J. -- This petition is directed against an order dated 26th May, 1988 passed by respondent No.2 for the detention of the petitioner's son Samiullah son of Habilbullah for a period of thirty days under section 3(1) of the Maintenance of Public Order, 1960 read with Government Notification No.IX(14)SQJ/78 dated 15-6-1978 on the grounds annexed to the above order, which read as follows: -

(i) That you are worker of PPI (Punjabi Pakhtoon Ittehad) and conspire with the other workers of "PPI" to stage a demonstra tion in order to disrupt the law and order situation.

(ii) That you spread the discontentment in the public to create panic and hatred amongst the general public.

(iii) That you arranged the workers to attack the public and private property and destroy the human lives.

2. A perusal of the above grounds indicates that the same lack material particulars as to the dates and places of the incidents. Since the grounds are vague, the detention order cannot be sustained.

3. The petition is allowed. The detenu will be released forthwith unless he is required under some law in some other cases.
