ISLAM HUSSAIN vs NATIONAL BANK OF PAKISTAN
1. AFTAB HUSSAIN, C. J.-The question is whether the employees of the National Bank of Pakistan, which is a Corporation, are entitled to any protection in regard to the tenure of service under Sharia. This question has already been resolved and answered in the negative, in regards to employees of the Corporations, as distinguished from the Government employees in the judgment of this Court on S. S. M. No, 204/P/83, S. S. M. No, 84/S/84, S. S. M. No, 71!B/84, S. S. M. No, 71/NWFP/84, dated the 27th March, 1984. This petition is liable to dismissal and is dismissed as such. However, we would place on record our sense of gratefulness for Mr. Islam Hussain the petitioner, for moving this Court, and seeking redress of a matter, which is of public importance and was likely to affect a large number of employees of Corporation and Local Governments.
